TRANSPORTATION SHORTAGES WORSEN IN URBAN AREAS By Graciela Alfonso, Cuba Free Press.
HAVANA - Commuters using the public transportation system in this capital city are encountering worsening conditions.
This situation became evident in a recent survey of more than 20 passengers who frequently use metro-buses.
Most of those interviewed said they use this method of transportation because they have no other option. Many called the buses - better known as "camels" (long-haul trucks adapted for passenger use) - "cattle trucks" and bitterly complained about the lack of ventilation in those vehicles.
