NATIONAL POLICE JOIN CDR VIGILANCE AGAINST 'NEGATIVE ATTITUDES' By Graciela Alfonso, Cuba Free Press.
HAVANA - The Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) are engaged in an intensive two-day neighborhood watch ending today, Aug. 13. This activity was planned throughout the country.
In this "watch exercise" the members of the neighborhood block organizations were keeping watch and going through their assigned neighborhoods accompanied by members of the National Revolutionary Police.
The residents of various neighborhoods in the capital city were warned that this marks a time of "combating all negative attitudes and criminal activity."
Even though a greater presence of police is noted throughout the capital city, a high level of criminal activity remains.
