HE WON HIMSELF A VISA BUT WILL THEY GIVE IT TO HIM? By Marcos Yanes, Cuba Free Press.
Fomento.- Winning the "lottery" is something hoped for by many Cubans yet some are caught unawares by it. Such is the case of Jorge Cuan, public health director of in Fomento.
He has acts of abuse hanging over his office as in the case of nurse Magaly Viera. He had her punished by removing her two years from her job because she had given some pieces of sterilized bandages to a sick man so he could heal himself at home.
The responsibility also falls upon Jorge Cuan for having controlled "classified information" and having been a member of the Municipal Politburo of the Cuban Communist Party.
Those who know him ask if a man with such a background will be allowed to go to the United States. They ask, "Will the U.S. Interests Section Office which denies Cubans who have been imprisoned by the communist regime, accept the visa to travel to the United States of a man like Jorge Cuan who holds power and was one of those who has oppressed and abused people?"
