JAILERS DENY MEDICAL ATTENTION TO POLITICALLY INCORRECT By Odalys Curbelo, Cuba Free Press.
HAVANA - Jailers at Guantanamo's Provincial Penitentiary this week denied medical attention to two political prisoners: Juan Armando Rodríguez Revilla, 40, and Carlos Luís Díaz Fernández, 29. Both men have pain in their eyes and believe they have intestinal amoeba.
Officials keep the two in solitary confinement in the maximum security A-500 Section of the penitentiary. Both men have complained to the guards, who refuse to take them to the infirmary or provide them medicine.
Information received by the editor about the prisoners says both men are handcuffed when they go out in the sun to a place which measures two by three meters. The two have been sentenced to five and eight years for trying to leave the country illegally. They belong to the "Pedro Luis Boitel" political prisoners' group.
