UNEMPLOYED MAN TRIES WRONG OCCUPATION TOO OFTEN By Juan Antonio Sánchez, Cuba Free Press.

HAVANA - Mariano Silot Rodríguez, 26, unemployed, was conditionally out of jail on charges of breaking and entering and robbery when he decided he needed some more things and broke into a medical office in the country village of Nicaro, Holguin province.

Among the things he took were 11 hypodermic needles, two hypodermic injectors, five vials of penicillin, a dozen glass slides, a tube of salve for burns, a chair, two hens, two ducks and a turkey. But he didn't get away without being caught.

Silot, whose fixed address is in the Bitter Orange (Naranja Agrio) neighborhood of Sagua de Tánamo but who most recently came from the town of Moa at the far eastern extreme of the island, now waits in jail for his next trial on fresh charges of breaking and entering and robbery.
