OSS AGENTS AGAIN ARREST CUBA PRESS DIRECTOR RAúL RIVERO By Odalys Curbelo, Cuba Free Press.

HAVANA - Agents of the Office of State Security (OSS) again have arrested Cuba Free Press Director, poet and independent journalist Raúl Rivero only a few days after he was released from prison, where he had been detained about a day at the beginning of the trial of four leaders of the Working Group of Internal Dissidence. The latest arrest was at his home about 6 p.m. today.

Beginning about mid-day, an officer of the political police who gives himself the pseudonym of Oscar began to make telephone calls to the poet at his apartment. When he reached Rivero, he asked him to go to the police station near his home so as to "converse," in the agent's words.

After several such calls, the conversation suddenly turned harsh and the agent directed Rivero to present himself and then cut off the discussion about 5 p.m. Less than an hour later, the officer appeared at Rivero's apartment and placed him under arrest.

The poet's mother, Hortensia Castañeda, who is at an advanced age, was left alone at the apartment. Rivero's wife, Blanca Reyes, is absent from the city because of problems in her family. Cuba Free Press was not able to verify the station to which the OSS agent took Rivero.
