OSS AGENTS DETAIN, THREATEN INDEPENDENT JOURNALIST By Héctor Trujillo Pis, Cuba Free Press.

CAIBARIéN - Agents of the Office of State Security (OSS) recently summoned Jorge Rodríguez Delgado of the Independent Journalists Association to OSS headquarters and questioned and threatened him for hours.

Officer Julio Herrera interrogated Rodríguez Delgado, threatened him with years of jail for propagating "enemy propaganda," espionage, collaborating with foreign press correspondents and spreading false news. The officer also gave the journalist a warning paper and said if he is tried on the charges he could be given up to 30 years of prison.

These threats apparently could be carried out under the new "Titanic law" approved by the Cuban parliament.
