A LAW THAT SUPPOSEDLY PROTECTS INDEPENDENCE By Efrén Martínez Pulgarón, Cuba Free Press.

HAVANA - A law that supposedly protects "independence" cannot silence me for being independent. I utilize the name of that law to continue being independent as a social communicator. The only "annexationist" idea that I have is involved with truth, democracy and freedom of the press.

Martí said that one is fighting when in possession of the truth. And this one is ours. This truth, as well as the right to inform and to receive information, God willing, will help me continue in this endeavor.

As a correspondent of Cuba Free Press I have tried to be an objective observer of reality and of the church in my country, so as to contribute, modestly, to widespread awareness of its activity through those media of communication to which it has had access.
