NATIONAL POLICE TRY TO PIN HOG THEFT CHARGE ON POLITICALL INCORRECT By Hiram González González, Cuba Free Press.
AGUADA DE PASAJEROS - National Revolutionary Police (PNR) have arrested former political prisoner Manuel Díaz Cabrera and charged him with selling a hog to Jorge Capote of Ariza in Cienfuegos province.
Various other politically incorrect citizens in this area believe the authorities are trying to fabricate a case against Diaz Cabrera so as to sabotage his dissidence with prison. He denies the charge.
At the police headquarters, Diaz Cabrera was questioned by Officer Montes de Oca. The accused was released on a bail of 500 pesos. His lawyer, David Enriquez Torres, asked for a judicial hearing on the charges but has received no response as of time of writing.
In 1980, Diaz was sentenced to 30 years in prison for "crimes against state security." He is a member of the Cuban Pro Human Rights Committee. He was released last year at the request of Pope John Paul.
