COMMUNIST PARTY SENDS COMMISSIONS TO BLOCK ANTENNAS >By Héctor Trujillo Pis, Cuba Free Press.

CAIBARIÉN - In the campaign against "the American way of life" and "ideological diversions," the Communist Party has created special commissions to visit all homes possessing high frequency antennas.

The campaign was announced several days ago in the municipalities of Camajuaní and Vueltas. The targeted antennas can receive signals from abroad, including TV Marti programming.

The commissions threaten antenna owners with 1,000 peso fines if an antenna is not removed promptly.* The commissions are composed of inspectors of the Ministry of Communication and the National Revolutionary Police.

*Editorial note: The average monthly salary in Cuba is 202.5 pesos.
