HAVANA - Officials of the Office of State Security (OSS) arrested two masons, Miguel Duvalón Nápoles and Lázaro Argudín Acea and demanded that they leave the municipality called Isle of Youth, south of this city, for visiting the politically incorrect Antonio Morales Torres. Duvalón Nápoles is the director of the Masonic Museum.
The OSS agents also threatened to take repressive actions against the lodge called "The Evangelist," located in New Gerona, capital of the old Isle of Pines, now called the Isle of Youth.
The arrested masons were interrogated two hours on December 14 and left the area the next day.
Morales Torres, source of the information, is a mason and the president of the Pines Human Rights Movement of Human Rights. He has regularly attended the Gerona lodge.
The OSS agents told the detained men that if the fraternal group does not take action against Morales Torres, the government will take action against the loddge on the Isle of Youth. Later on December 14 the agents arrested Morales Torres and interrogated him but released him some hours later.
