SANTIAGO DIABETICS UNABLE TO RECEIVED DESIGNATED MILK By Margarita Yero, Cuba Free Press.

SANTIAGO - Although diabetics are supposed to receive milk on a regular basis, with a special government card, they have not been getting it since October 1 in this city.

Regulations from the Ministry of Interior say diabetics have a right to buy a kilogram (2.2 pounds) of powdered skim milk per month.

In the underground market, however, powdered milk may be found in great quantities at the price of 10 pesos a pound.
