JAILERS DENY PRISONERS ADEQUATE MEDICAL ATTENTION By Marvin Hernández Monzón, Cuba Free Press.

CIENFUEGOS - Members of the Historical Political Prisoners' Associastion in Las Villas studied the plight of prisoners at the Ariza provincial prison and found the jailers are providing "deficient medical attention."

The general consensus reached by the group points to the physicians' lack of ethics with their patients, a lack of accurate diagnoses and the absence of basic medications.

The political prisoners' organization at this facility learned through official sources that its pharmaceutical storage room has sufficient supplies of medicines for the prisoners but they are not being distributed as needed.
