The Death of Sebastian Arcos Bergnes: A Bearer of Hope. A Special Service by Cuba Press.

Sebastian Arcos Bergnes, died on Monday, December 22, at 8 o'clock in the evening in Miami, Florida, at the age of sixty-five. The opposition leader suffered from colon cancer.

A physician by profession, he suffered prison for many years. He fought for democracy in Cuba for over 40 years and reached the vice presidency of the Cuban Committee Pro Human Rights, led by his brother Gustavo Arcos Bergnes.

His remains will be incinerated. The family will keep his ashes until he can be returned to the Motherland, under a democratic government.

Cuba Press wishes to express its sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and supporters of this great Cuban freedom fighter.
