Cuba Free Press, is the beneficiary of a license # C-19107 issued by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury "... to compensate independent journalists in Cuba who produce articles for publication by Cuba Free Press...". Cuba Free Press, within the restrictions of its license, sends each month to Cuba, moneys which are distributed among the independent journalists that produce the news items and articles that we publish at our site in the internet: http://www.cubafreepress.org and our tabloids in English and Spanish languages. These funds come from your donations.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) determined on January 23, 1998 that Cuba Free Press, Inc. is a public supported organization and tax exempt as described in section 501(c)(3). Please consult your tax advisor, as he may confirm that your donations to Cuba Free Press are deductible. Cuba Free Press will furnish you at the end of the year a Donation Receipt for your donations.
The operations and publications of Cuba Free Press are financed from a grant from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). CFP was notified by USAID that the grant will not be renewed and that it will expire on February 28, 2000. As per the terms of the grant we are prohibited from using ANY of said funds to compensate the Cuban independent journalists.
Cuba Free Press solicits that you adopt a Cuban independent journalist, by mailing each month to us your donation to support a Cuban Independent Journalist which you have adopted.
You will also receive the Cuba Free Press tabloids in English and Spanish.
Support their struggle for the nonexistent space for freedom of the press and freedom of expression inside Cuba. Help guarantee, that in a future democratic Cuba, these basic rights will be always present, without restrictions.

Cuba Free Press, siempre dentro de las restricciones de su licencia, envía mensualmente dineros a Cuba para ser repartidos entre los periodistas independientes que producen las noticias y los artículos publicados en nuestro sitio en la internet: http://www.cubafreepress.org, y en nuestros periódicos en inglés y español. Los dineros que enviamos proceden de los donativos de ustedes.
